Ben founded Wolf’s Edge after solving a problem a lot of business owners have.

He was stuck in the weeds of a business he'd launched — and didn't have a quarter of a million dollars to hire a full-time, top-notch COO.  Someone who'd run their own business, and knew how to transition growth chaos into mature efficiency.

Doing it the hard way, Ben eventually grew his business into the largest organization of its type in his state.

But he wasn't going to do it that way again. And neither should anyone else.
Today, Fractional COOs from Wolf's Edge help business owners all over America.

Launching Wolf’s Edge

Ben started by working as the Fractional COO/Integrator for several businesses. Soon, other experienced COOs joined him.  Today their expertise is leveraged by clients around the country, across multiple industries.

Advancing the Industry

While building Wolf’s Edge, Ben talked with many other firms and solo practitioners in the fractional executive industry. These are executives serving their clients fractionally in marketing, sales, operations, finance, people, technology, and other disciplines.

But it soon became clear that business owners had no objective source for information about fractional executives.

When people should use them? How does the arrangement work? Who should retain one? And what results should you expect and measure?

There are thousands of websites, each with its own agenda, but no “center of gravity” for the industry.

So Ben wrote the first book explaining what fractional executive leadership is, how it works, and how to take advantage of the model.

That book became the Amazon bestseller: Fractional Leadership: Landing Executive Talent You Thought Was Out of Reach.

Professional Association

He also founded the first professional association for fractional executives, Fractional Leadership.

It's where fractionals connect with high quality peers, access exclusive resources, and accelerate their professional growth.

But it also serves business owners.

Most are not familiar with the fractional concept, and don't know it's the way to escape the “Entrepreneurial Catch-22,”, where they need an experienced executive on their team, but can’t yet afford someone of that caliber.
